Extra Time Hubs are aimed at those 55+ who are looking to meet new people with similar interests. Crawley Town is one of 12 EFL clubs to receive funding to pilot EFL Extra Time Hubs.
The past month has been packed full of a variety of new activities each week, including a brand new 6-person Table Tennis Table. This has been a particularly popular activity amongst participants, as it is a fun way for a large group to keep active together having fun indoors.
Gina returned to deliver another seated Pilates session, which has been popular with participants. When activity of the day, Pilates runs from 12pm – 1pm, offering participants a chance to unwind with our highly qualified instructor.
Those who have participated have said they feel much more relaxed and that the sessions have given them better flexibility and mobility.
In addition to these activities, we also deliver walking football, wellbeing walks, as well as a range of indoor activities such as quizzes & brain teasers, giant connect 4, dominos, card games, board games, puzzles and map reading.
During activities, participants can also have a chat over tea and biscuits.
For the month of October, we are running a 'Friends Go Free!’ Deal.
This means you both get the session FREE!
For those who come individually the weekly fee is only £3.
Sessions run every Friday from 11:30am - 1:30pm. Also coming up in November is Men's Health Month, where we will host a range of FREE health checks on 8th & 29th November for both men & women, along with a wide range of activities.
These health checks consist of an MOT using body composition scales, which can give basic measurements such as body weight and BMI and enable you to have an understanding of the internal workings of your body with measurements such as body fat %, muscle mass, hydration score, visceral fat and more obtained from the scales.
Additionally, using the readings we can have a conversation about your lifestyle with support and advice given where necessary.
The lifestyle areas we may cover include weight management, nutrition and physical activity, alcohol use, stopping smoking, sleep, low-level emotional wellbeing and general lifestyle advice.
We can also signpost you on to further services where appropriate.
