We are proud to support International Women's Day 2023 and are highlighting the achievements and impact of women here at the Foundation.
The Day is about promoting and encouraging equality and showing the social and cultural achievements of women; and so the Foundation spoke to some of our staff about their journeys in the game.
The Foundation's Football and Education Academy Manager Holly Walker is a youth coach at Horsham Football Club and plays football for Ashmount Leigh; having spent the majority of her footballing career at Crawley Wasps. Holly talks about her time in the game, role models in sport, and gives a positive outlook for the future.
Football and Sports Participation Coach Nat Taylor plays for Crawley Wasps and works on the Foundation's Elite and Development Centre as well as in local schools. Nat highlighted to success of the Lionesses and the opportunities available in the game and at the Community Foundation.
International Women's Day is a brilliant way to connect equality with the wider public but it is important that we strive for and promote women's equality consistently. For girls and women around Crawley we have a variety of programmes to get active and playing socially and competitively.
