International Women’s Day: Crawley Town Community Foundation Scores Big on Women’s Empowerment in Football!

Today is International Women’s Day!

Here at Crawley Town Community Foundation, women make up a significant third of our participants, shaping the narrative not just on the pitch but in the community too. As the Foundation grows, so does our commitment to empowering women and girls to embrace an active lifestyle.

The Girls Elite and Development Centre, a thriving hub where girls aged 8-13 not only improve their skills but broaden their understanding of football. Every Monday, under the expert guidance of UEFA qualified coaches, these sessions become a showcase of talent and skill. Sessions take place on Mondays and Tuesdays at the Broadfield Stadium Ball Court. Please note: trials will need to be arranged prior to booking.

Friday nights at the Broadfield Stadium ball-court are proving very popular through the Premier League Kicks programme. An engaging, free session from 6-7pm, where mixed abilities and ages between 8-18 come together to share their love for the game.

Not forgetting the highly successful Crawley Old Girls programme, a session for 'older' women diving into recreational football. Beginners, intermediates, and advanced players, are all welcome at the Broadfield Stadium Ball Court every week, rewriting the narrative of what age means in the world of football.
