Returning Saturday Sessions at Crawley Town

After a long wait from both participants and coaches, Saturday’s are making a comeback at Crawley Town, after Mini Reds and Saturday Soccer Centre returned on the 12th September.

As the new school year commences and you are looking for weekend activities, we wanted to let you know about what we have on offer for term bookings this year on Mini Reds and Saturday Soccer Centre.

Every Saturday morning from 9 am – 10 am at The People’s Pension Stadium, we run Mini Reds, a programme tailored to those young people under the age of 6 to have a fun packed introduction into football.

This session is an opportunity for young people to get into football, learn some new skills and make friends of similar ages.

Saturday Soccer Centre delivers sessions to boost a participant’s skill level through drills and mini matches, whilst having fun. These Soccer Centres run from 10:30am – 12pm for pupils aged 7 – 12 years and is a fantastic opportunity to develop key skills, both technically and socially.

Both Mini Reds and Saturday Soccer Centre are important starting points for participants on their footballing journey, helping with their development and progress through the early stages of their life with the help of our FA qualified coaching staff. As a starting point and entry level into our ‘Player Pathway’. Both sessions provide progression routes into our invitation-only Development centres which can help to boost your child’s skills and to continue to climb the progression ladder.

This year, it will look a little different, with smaller groups, new hygiene rules and social distancing measures taken into account across both sessions.

Ian Cobbett, Football Pathway Co-ordinator, said this about the return of Saturday football, “I want the players to fall in love with football like I did at their age and we use Football as a tool for learning and exploring. Our coaches are all enthusiastic and count Saturday morning as their favourite session”

Spaces are limited, so make sure you secure you booking today –

Also returning soon is Talent ID on Friday 2nd October from 5pm to 6pm.

The session is aimed towards players who play for grassroots clubs and want to develop further, as well as players who aren’t yet ready for our development centres.

Our centre focuses on improving the technical skills of the players.
