Soccer Schools at Crawley Town

During the May Half-Term, the Foundation delivered to a 4-day Soccer School, packed full of activities in the sun with two big surprises for those participants who attended.

On Tuesday 1st June, Crawley Town FC’s Young Player of the Year, Nick Tsaroulla visited the Soccer School, to meet participants and join in with the afternoon tournaments. During Nick’s visit, Head of Foundation, Darren Ford, presented him with the PFA Community Champion Award for 2020/21.

The participants thoroughly enjoyed meeting the young player and asking him many questions about his life and fantastic career journey and being a part of the award presentation.

Additionally, as it is the end of the football season for Crawley Town FC, participants on Friday were given free shirts, which put a big smile on all their faces.

Kayleigh Bowers, Schools & Football Development Manager said this about the soccer school, “The weather was on our side for a fun-packed week of Soccer Schools at The People’s Pension stadium, the atmosphere was lively and a lot of fun was had!

All of our participants ended the week with a Crawley Town shirt and we were also lucky enough to have professional footballer Nick Tsaroulla visit and meet our participants. His support in our community work earned him the PFA Community Champion Award and our participants were there to see him receive this honour.

I am looking forward to seeing the regular faces again and meeting some new ones over the summer holidays!”

We are also pleased to announce the return of our popular 6-week Summer Soccer School!

The programme will consist of engaging games, aimed towards developing your child’s football skills, with each week focusing on a different topic and aspect of the game.

Our Summer Soccer Schools, commencing on the 26th July, will run for the following 6-weeks -

· Week One – 26th to 30th July

· Week Two – 2nd to 6th August

· Week Three – 9th to 13th August

· Week Four – 16th to 20th August

· Week Five – 23rd to 27th August

· Week Six – 31st August to 3rd September

As this is a summer programme, please ensure your child comes to the soccer school with their own water bottle, packed lunch and weather appropriate clothing including a hat.

All equipment will be clean and disinfected after each session and we will provide access to hand sanitiser at each session. Please be reminded, if an individual is symptomatic, living in a household with a possible COVID-19 infection the guidance is that you should remain home.

Due to the popularity of our past soccer schools in 2021, if you are interested, we recommend booking as soon as possible to secure your place – https://officialsoccerschools.co.uk/crawleytown/crawley-town-courses.html?p=3
