During the May Half-Term, the Foundation delivered to a 4-day Soccer School, packed full of activities in the sun with two big surprises for those participants who attended.
On Tuesday 1st June, Crawley Town FC’s Young Player of the Year, Nick Tsaroulla visited the Soccer School, to meet participants and join in with the afternoon tournaments. During Nick’s visit, Head of Foundation, Darren Ford, presented him with the PFA Community Champion Award for 2020/21.
The participants thoroughly enjoyed meeting the young player and asking him many questions about his life and fantastic career journey and being a part of the award presentation.
Additionally, as it is the end of the football season for Crawley Town FC, participants on Friday were given free shirts, which put a big smile on all their faces.
Kayleigh Bowers, Schools & Football Development Manager said this about the soccer school, “The weather was on our side for a fun-packed week of Soccer Schools at The People’s Pension stadium, the atmosphere was lively and a lot of fun was had!
All of our participants ended the week with a Crawley Town shirt and we were also lucky enough to have professional footballer Nick Tsaroulla visit and meet our participants. His support in our community work earned him the PFA Community Champion Award and our participants were there to see him receive this honour.
I am looking forward to seeing the regular faces again and meeting some new ones over the summer holidays!”
We are also pleased to announce the return of our popular 6-week Summer Soccer School!
