The Return of ‘Move the Goalposts’ at Crawley Town

It is no surprise the Covid-19 pandemic has had an effect on our mental health, with all ages being affected. As we increase our face-to-face delivery, the Foundation aims to continue to support those struggling with their mental wellbeing.

We are delighted to be reintroducing our ‘Move the Goalposts’ programme to Wednesday afternoons, following its enforced suspension due to the Covid-19 restrictions.

Move the Goalposts, is our personal development programme for those 18+ experiencing or at risk of experiencing mental health difficulties and is open to all, no referrals are necessary and provides opportunities for participants to access supported sessions.

The programme will look a little different moving forward, as the session is now a 1-hour outdoor football session, with the aim of expanding our mental health delivery into our other new programmes we have been launched since restrictions have eased.

These new programmes include Online Sessions, Walk & Talk health walks and Photography, with new sessions being introduced on a frequent basis.

Move the Goalposts is held every Wednesday, from 3pm - 4pm on the People's Pension Stadium 3G Ball Court. Sessions are open to all abilities and no official mental health diagnosis is required.

We are still maintaining our Covid-19 guidelines to ensure all staff and participants are safe at all of our sessions. All equipment will be cleaned and disinfected prior to and after each session, with access to hand sanitiser at the beginning and the end of the session.
