Who’s ready for another Spooky Soccer School?
Sign up today for October Soccer Schools this Halloween!
The October Soccer School is back this year on Monday the 28th October, with lots of exciting themes and activities planned for the week.
The week will be packed with fun and engaging sessions whilst teaching boys and girls the fundamentals of football.
Our energetic, qualified and professional coaches will plan each day so the children experience different aspects of the games and socialise with other young footballers their age.
Each day will focus on a different topic and aspect of the game.
So, for example on an attacking day, the participants will be learning a variety of fun shooting drills but also look into drills allow you to create scoring opportunities like dribbling or turning to shoot.
All drills will be age specific, making sure that the skills are being taught, based on abilities in order to help participants improve.
Boys and girls aged 4 – 13 years old are welcome to attend our Soccer Schools, which offers a pathway into our Saturday Soccer Centre or our Development Centres for those who excel.
As the October Soccer Schools is over Halloween, the week will focus around spooky themes combined with footballer player names.
The plan for our Halloween themed Soccer School is as follows:
Day 1 - Casper Schmeichel & Gloom Morris day, which is a goalkeeper experience day, teaching participants to properly catch the ball, concentrating on positioning, throwing and passing accuracy.
Day 2 – Leighton Brains & Jordan Terror-cliffe day, which is a defending day, to work on the different positions across the defence and what their roles and responsibilities are.
Day 3 – Ra-Scream Sterling & Dannie Boo-man day, which is working on Midfield play, looking at attacking but also creating space, moving into space with and without the ball, and using the wings and width.
Day 4 – Teemu Spooki & Mason Broomstick day, which is a skills-based day to allow participants to practice and develop their skills, through shooting drills and fun activities that work on accuracy.
Day 5 – Spooky Tournament day, Friday is always a special day at Soccer Schools. Participants take part in a stadium tour, as well as exciting tournaments.
For the October Soccer Schools, there is a spooky twist to al, of our exciting Friday activities. For Halloween, we will be hosting a Dress Up competition on Friday 1st November.
There will be prizes up for grabs for the scariest costume!
To finish off, boys and girls receive certificates.
There is even a chance our very own Reggie the Red Devil will join us during the Soccer Schools, so be sure to give him a high-five and show him your skills!
