After a busy summer, Crawley Town FC’s Premier League Kicks sessions are continuing busier than ever.
Crawley Kicks is a free weekly football session for young people aged 8-19 funded by the Premier League.
The project aims to support young people using football to motivate them. Kicks provides positive, structured activities, which aim to prevent crime and antisocial behaviour and help them lead a healthier, more active lifestyle.
The Kicks programme launched in Crawley with a sole session in Bewbush.
We now deliver Kicks across Crawley 8 different sessions in 7 different locations.
A Kicks participant from last season said this about the programme, “‘I really enjoy attending Kicks and talking through potential pathways and building an understanding of what I can go on and do.
I am now going to college and is studying Business, Maths & English as well as looking at the future and is learning to drive, as well as thinking of a career in accountancy and going to university”.
Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha was once a part of Crystal Palace’s Premier League Kicks and has said it played a huge part in his formative years.
This is where his passion for football was born and where he honed his skills as a youngster.
