Youth Development Ticket Initiative

On Thursday 26th August, in collaboration with Crawley Town FC, launched it’s Youth Development Ticket Initiative.

The initiative will see over 300 Elite & Development youth team players receive a complimentary Season Ticket for the 2021/22 season. Furthering the club’s ambition to welcome the next generation of fans into The People’s Pension Stadium.

Kayleigh Bowers, Schools & Football Development manager said, “Firstly, we would like to thank all of you for continuing to support us throughout the pandemic. We are proud that our continued relationship with the club has continued to go from strength to strength and we want to keep creating memories and experiences that will live with our players forever. This project will allow us to make watching professional football in Crawley even more accessible, helping us to engage and inspire local young people who aspire to play for the Crawley Town first team one day.”

Tom Allman, Crawley Town FC’s general manager said, “The launch of the ticketing scheme is another positive step taken by both the club and Community Foundation in trying to attract the next generation of fans to Crawley Town. The players in our youth development team already have a passion for the club so the fact that we’re able to make matches more accessible for them is superb and testament to the great work that the Community Foundation and their coaches put in on a daily basis - I look forward to welcoming them to The People’s Pension Stadium over the course of the next season, starting on Saturday against Northampton Town.”

Over 200 children arrived at the stadium to collect their complimentary Season Ticket and as a surprise, they collected their packs from Dannie Bulman and Ludwig Francillette who also signed them. This was then followed by their yearly headshots for the Elite & Development Squads. While they waited for their fellow team mates to arrive, Blondy Nna Noukeu and John Yems entertained them in the stands, before a penalty shoot-out on the 3G Ballcourt.

Alex Watts, Commercial & Sales assistant, said this about the event, ‘‘After a proactive response from the club during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are now in a position to launch our first youth development initiative. We have already seen success in our pathway with multiple Community Foundation players obtaining trials with the first team and we hope to continue this trend. Therefore, as a club we have welcomed over 200 promising young players, to join us today to collect a Youth Development Entry Card which allows free access to all Crawley Town FC home league matches. As a club, we hope this will continue to develop our relationship with the Community Foundation and we are looking forward to welcoming our young players at The People’s Pension Stadium throughout the season.”

The Foundation is delighted to be working alongside the football club on this initiative and look forward to welcoming a new era of support.
